The two most important are "real estate" and "realtor" combined with the nearest major city and the county.

These must be combined as phrases in the keywording and on the public page in the page content.

Here you are looking for submission services, search engine position reports and log analysis. Position reports tell you what your positions are on the search results and the log analysis can give you a complete analysis of your visitor traffic down to and including traffic counts from each search engine, what keywords your visitors are using and the traffic to each of your pages.

#4 Does he/she offer a guarantee of search engine placement?

Answer:

A qualified website designer has the confidence and the track record that allows him to guarantee a certain success in placing the pages of a website on the search engines.  If he will not offer this commitment, then you know that his pages do not perform on the search engines.
